Republic Square Tourism

Republic Square is at the heart of Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, and serves as a key landmark and a hub of public life. Designed by architect Alexander Tamanian in the early 20th century, the square showcases a fascinating blend of neoclassical and traditional Armenian architecture. Its five main buildings, with pink and yellow tuff stones, reflect Armenia's natural landscape and create a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing urban environment. The square's oval shape is marked by a beautiful stone pattern at the center which, seen from above, resembles a traditional Armenian rug.
