Best Time to Visit Scuba Diving Spots at Agatti Island, Lakshadweep, India

If you're looking to explore the underwater paradise at Agatti Island, timing is critical to ensure the best visibility and weather conditions. The ideal time to visit Agatti Island for scuba diving is from October to May. During these months, the monsoon has receded, and the sea is calmer, providing divers with clearer waters and better access to dive sites. The temperature during this period ranges from 27°C to 30°C, which is comfortable for most divers. Furthermore, the underwater visibility can extend up to 20 to 30 meters, allowing divers to witness the vibrant coral reefs and an array of marine life in all their glory.

Diving outside of this period, especially from June to September, is generally discouraged due to the South West monsoon, which brings rough seas and reduced visibility. However, for those diving between October and May, they can expect to enjoy a spectacular experience with the chance to see turtles, colorful fishes, rays, and even sharks in their natural habitat. It's important to note that diving conditions can vary from year to year, so checking with local dive operators for current conditions before planning your trip is a good idea. With its pristine waters and rich marine biodiversity, Agatti Island remains a top-tier destination for diving enthusiasts around the world.
