By Air

  • Florence Airport (Aeroporto di Firenze-Peretola) is about 85 km from Siena, and you can continue your journey via bus, train, or car rental.
  • Pisa International Airport (Aeroporto Internazionale di Pisa) is approximately 120 km from Siena, and you can also take a bus, train, or rent a car to reach Siena.

By Train

Though Siena's train station isn't directly on the main line, trains from Florence (Firenze Santa Maria Novella) and Chiusi are frequent. If you're coming from Rome, you'll most likely change trains at Chiusi.

By Bus

Buses might be a more direct option, especially from Florence. The SITA bus company runs frequent services between Florence and Siena, and the trip usually takes about 1.5 hours.
