How To Reach Spanish Steps

By Air

If you are arriving by air, the nearest major airport is Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (Fiumicino), about 30 kilometers from the city center. From the airport, you can take:

• The Leonardo Express train to Termini Station, which runs every 30 minutes. From Termini, you can take the Metro Line A and exit at the Spagna station, situated right next to the Spanish Steps.
• A taxi or pre-booked car service directly to the Spanish Steps.
• Buses or shuttles that connect Fiumicino with several points in Rome, such as Termini Station.

By Train

Rome's main railway station is Termini Station. From here, you can take the Metro Line A and get off at the Spagna station.

By Metro

The most convenient metro station to the Spanish Steps is Spagna Station on Metro Line A. This line crosses Rome from northwest to southeast.

By Bus

Numerous buses serve the area around the Spanish Steps. The stops closest to the Steps are named Condotti and Trinita dei Monti. Check the current Rome bus network for the best route from your location.

By Car

Driving in central Rome can be challenging and parking is limited. It is recommended to park outside the city center and use public transportation to reach the Spanish Steps.
