Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, named after the medieval poet-playwright and reformer Srimanta Sankardev, is a cultural institution in the Panjabari area of Guwahati, Assam, India. Established in the 1990s, the cultural complex showcases the rich culture and heritage of Assam and the Northeast. The Kalakshetra, manifested as a grand exposition of the life and culture of the people of Assam, represents the ethnic diversity in the Northeast as well. It includes a cultural museum, library, children's park, and an open-air theater, where traditional performances of Assam are regularly held. The Kalakshetra is also famous for its beautiful and extensive grounds, landscaped gardens, and a lake. A replica of a traditional Assamese village is one of the prime attractions alongside detailed exhibits of tribal art and artifacts. This institution plays a significant role in the preservation and promotion of the varied cultural finesse that the state has to offer.

It is about the culture of Assam and there area of expertise in bamboo art and clothing follows in there different parts of Assam.

Cultural confluence
Happen to go there to enjoy a drama. The facilities are very good and well maintained. Did not have time to visit other parts of the place, but the auditorium has a contemporary look.
