Tadoba Lake is situated in the heart of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra, India. The lake is a natural one, surrounded by dense forest and serves as a vital resource for the wildlife of the reserve. The park gets its name from the local deity worshiped by the tribal people, Taru, and is Maharashtra’s oldest and largest National Park. Spread across approximately 625.4 square kilometers, this lake is a perennial water source for the park’s wildlife and attracts a plethora of animals including tigers, leopards, sloth bears, gaur, nilgai, spotted deer, and sambar. It nurtures a thick biodiversity that complements the jungle safari experience. The Tadoba Lake also acts as a buffer between the park's forest and the extensive farmland which extends up to Irai water reservoir.
