Talakaveri, also spelled Talacauvery, is considered the source of the Kaveri River located in the Brahmagiri hill near Bhagamandala in Coorg district, Karnataka, India. At an elevation of 1,276 m above sea level, this place is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in Karnataka. Talakaveri is situated amidst the picturesque view of the Brahmagiri hills. The area is marked by a kundike or tank, which is believed to be the originating point of the River Kaveri.
