Madikeri Fort in Coorg, Karnataka, India, encapsulates a rich historical legacy dating back to the 17th century. Initially built of mud by Muddu Raja in the latter half of the 17th century, the fort has witnessed several renovations and structural changes during its existence. When Tipu Sultan gained control over it, he rebuilt it in granite before it fell into the hands of the British. The fort stands as a testament to the various historical transitions of power.
