Sacred abode.
Visited this sacred, mystical temple also known as Matabari, near Udaipur town in Tripura, a distance of 55+km from Agartala. It's one of the 51th Shaktishals worshipped by Hindu pilgrims from all over the world.As it's located on a tortoise shaped hillock,it is also called as Kurma peeth. The sacred idol is supposed to be installed in 1501 AD, and there is also a pond nearby. There is sacrifice of young goats on every day at a particular time, and I personally feel it's not a good practice and hope with awareness and adequate efforts this practice can be discontinued in coming years.

This temple is situated at Agartala, 60 km from Udaipur and is one of the ancient temples. It is popularly known as Matabari temple. It is more than 500 years old temple & is popular as being one of the 51peetha of Hindus. The temple is very beautiful.

Religious trip
It was my third trip to the temple. I've developed a devotion visit for the temple and the Goddess. This is a Shakti Peeth. Right leg of the Goddess lies here. Started by the panchaal community. Very clean , very religious
