Best Time to Visit Tyrshi Falls, Jowai

The Tyrshi Falls in Jowai, Meghalaya, India is a captivating natural spectacle best enjoyed during the monsoon season. The optimal period to visit this enchanting waterfall begins from June to September, coinciding with the heavy rainfall that the region experiences. During these months, the falls are in full spate, cascading down with grandeur against lush green surroundings, offering a breathtaking view and a refreshing experience. The vibrant landscape during the monsoons, with its myriad shades of green and the mists that often hang over the valleys, creates a mystical ambiance that is both soothing and invigorating. However, visitors should also be prepared for the frequent rains and should plan their trip accordingly, equipped with rain gear and waterproof accessories to enjoy the falls despite the occasional downpours.

For those looking to witness the waterfalls when they are not as fierce but still charming, the post-monsoon months of October to November serve as a suitable alternative. The rainfall subsides during this time, offering clearer skies and lesser water flow, which can enhance the overall accessibility to viewing points around Tyrshi Falls. This period also allows enthusiasts to enjoy other outdoor activities in the region, such as trekking and exploring the nearby vibrant local flora and fauna, under more serene weather conditions. It is important to note that accessibility to some parts of the waterfalls may be limited during the peak monsoon due to safety concerns, but this is less of a constraint in the months following the monsoon season.
