The Anthropological Museum in Port Blair is a fascinating exhibit of the four Negrito Tribes of the Andaman viz. the Jarawas, Sentinalese, Great Andamanese, and the Onges and two Mongoloid Tribes of the Nicobar viz. the Nicobarese and the Shompens. This museum offers insights into the lives of the indigenous tribes of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, showcasing traditional tools, clothing, art, and handcrafts, alongside detailed models of tribal huts and photographs of different tribal groups. Managed by the Anthropological Survey of India, the museum serves as a hub of socio-cultural aspects and presents a plethora of artifacts that underline the ecological environment and cultural patterns of the island's native communities. The documentation and preserved artifacts serve as a record of the rich cultural and social history for researchers and tourists alike.
