Bapu Museum Tourism

Bapu Museum, formerly Victoria Jubilee Museum, is situated at heart of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. This historical museum, renovated and presented anew to public in October 2020, is named after the famous film director and cartoonist, Bapu. It showcases a rich collection of sculptures, paintings, and artifacts, enlightening visitors about the region's glorious prehistoric and historic past. The museum building carries with it the legacy of British architecture, reflecting the blend of Indian style. It occupies a prominent place amongst the city's landmarks due to its repository of archaic relics and its contribution to the conservation of cultural heritage. Exhibits include Buddha relics, coins from different eras, tools from Paleolithic and Neolithic times, and an impressive display of ancient weaponry, pottery, and manuscripts. A modern gallery with interactive displays has been added, making history more accessible to visitors. Sculptural masterpieces from the 2nd and 3rd centuries are also on display, and the narrative paneling and state-of-the-art facilities enhance the educational experience.
