Best Time To Visit Bokor National Park (Kampot) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Bokor National Park in Kampot, Cambodia

Located in the southern region of Cambodia, Bokor National Park sits atop the Elephant Mountains and is known for its cool climate and mesmerizing landscapes. The best time to visit Bokor National Park is typically during the dry season, which runs from November to May. During these months, the weather is generally sunny, with clear blue skies and minimal rainfall, providing perfect conditions for exploration and photography. The temperature is pleasantly cooler compared to the rest of Cambodia, especially between December and February, when it's the coolest.

Visitors looking to avoid the crowds should consider planning their visit for weekdays or the shoulder months of November or May, as weekends and public holidays can attract more visitors. It's important to note that during the rainy season, from June to October, the park often experiences heavy rainfall and fog, which can obscure visibility and make the dirt roads challenging to navigate. Nonetheless, the rainy season also brings a unique beauty to the area, with lush, verdant landscapes and waterfalls at their most impressive. So, for those who don't mind a bit of rain and mud, this could also be an opportune time to experience the park's natural beauty in solitude.
