Best Time To Visit Cinnamora Tea Estate (Jorhat) In 2026 - 2027

Visit Cinnamora Tea Estate in Jorhat, Assam

Assam, known for its lush green tea gardens and tranquil ambiance, is home to the historic Cinnamora Tea Estate—the first tea garden established by the British in Assam, which dates back to 1850. Visiting Cinnamora Tea Estate is a distinct experience, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty and rich heritage of India's tea culture. The best time to visit Cinnamora Tea Estate is between November to May. During these months, the weather is relatively dry and pleasant, which makes exploring the vast estate comfortable. This period also avoids the heavy monsoon rains that Assam experiences from June to September, which can disrupt travel plans and make the tea gardens less accessible.

Specifically, the early part of the year, from March to May, is when the first flush of tea leaves is harvested, which gives you insight into the bustling activities in the estate—the plucking of fresh leaves and the tea making process. The temperatures during this time are moderate, generally hovering around 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F). However, if you prefer cooler weather, planning your trip between November to February would be ideal when the climate is comparatively cooler and the landscape is still lush from the post-monsoon season. The winter season offers a refreshing and foggy start to the day, which gradually turns into a pleasant sunny afternoon ideal for estate tours and enjoying local Assamese tea.
