No to VIP class
Overall not a great experience except saving my energy from driving.. Donâ€™t plan anything connecting to this ferry u might end up missing flight or attending any function.. Most important: Donâ€™t ever opt for VIP class had horrible experience.. no service no staff to check with you for your comfort during the journeyâ€¦ no food no water on asking for water the reply was only â‚¹60/- food is allowed either u take water bottle or tea n samosa..

Good place for time spent
Ghogha beach in Bhavanagar is very good attaction for tourists. Beach was safe for family also. We have spent two hours here.

Awesome experience
Ghogha beach is famous for Ro-Ro ferry. Ro-Ro ferry service was excellent. In simple word this beach was nice place for visit with family.

Gujarat Ro-Ro Ferry - Meticulously organized and world class for car owners
We travelled from Ghogha to Dahej in the Ro-Ro ferry with our car two weeks back. Many years back we had experience of taking a car on ferry. It was in Goa, when the Mandovi bridge had come crashing. But the process of taking the vehicle on board and worse still reversing it with a loud thud on a rickety platform had left bad memories. So we were quite apprehensive. But this ferry is an extremely smooth operation for car owners - as good as it can get! 1)Online booking preferable. Looks like the traffic is increasing - we counted around 90 cars, 6 trucks and one tractor-trailer. Plus some two-wheelers. 2)One has to reach around an hour before the departure time. The whole process of loading 90 cars took around half an hour. Perhaps less. The deboarding was even faster. 3)The ramps are very well laid out and it is like driving on a normal road. There are clearly laid out parking bays on board and each vehicle is secured at the parking spot. 4)After parking the car, one can climb up to the passenger cabin(s) at the next level. The whole place is clean with comfortable seats, washrooms and cafeteria. The food was reasonably priced and good quality. 5)Several SAFETY measures on board and the vessel is well equipped in this respect. 6)It was sad that despite food available at reasonable price, several groups sat on the deck outside and enjoyed a community feast with their own food brought from outside; making the place dirty. This is shameful. 7)Contrary to earlier reviews, it took us nearly two hours to reach. I think the load is increasing with more vehicles, so it takes longer. 8) The vessel started right on the dot. We paid INR 1000 for the car and INR 600 for the two of us. Considering the price of fuel in India and considering the to and fro travel to the ferry terminals at both ends, I do not think it saves money. But certainly saves time and driver fatigue. And a novel experience with fun! If one is travelling from Bhavanagar to Bharuch/Surat in a car, a must do experience!! Definitely something to be proud of for Indians. I believe IndigoSeaWays is starting bus service for transportation up to the terminals. That would be extremely nice for travellers without a car.

If aged/short on time/sick.... Just don't opt for this thing.
I wanted to reach Bharuch on 8:00PM for friend's reception. I checked the timings and found that ferry leaves at 5:00PM from ghogha. It takes 1:30 hours to drop you at Dahej. From there it is almost an hour run till Bharuch. I had this plan but it turned out to be a horrible choice.... My father dropped me at terminal. From there there was almost a dustbin kind of overcrowded bus which carried passengers to the ship. The route to executive class seating in the ship was by no means comfortable. It is the same route is used to pull vehicles in the ship. When you finally reach to the seat, all you see around is chaos. People are continuously talking useless stuff very loudly, almost like a fish market. Let me tell you there are stickers saying 'Do not disturb other people' all around. Stil complete chaos. Finally when you see the destination coming from window, the ship terribly slows down for docking. And once it docked, people managing the connecting bridge are in no hurry to say goodbye to passengers. Utterly lack of professionalism. Again same dustbin kind of bus from ship to terminal. From there there's litterally no connectivity to Bharuch or Surat. You should manage the transport beforehand. I must say very very terrible execution of a very nice concept. I don't know anybody will read this or not but whoever do, mark my words.
