Guna Caves (Devil's Kitchen) Tourism

Guna Caves, also known as Devil's Kitchen, is situated atop the southern escarpment of the Palani Hills at an elevation of over 2000 meters, in the town of Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, India. The caves were popularized by the Tamil movie 'Guna', hence the name. Carved by the elements on the precipitous slopes of the hills, these ancient caverns are nestled between three gigantic boulders named Pillar Rocks. The deep, dark chambers are believed to be associated with various myths and are a point of great intrigue. Over the years, they have become a spot for adventure seekers and explorers. With the enveloping mist and cool breeze that often blankets them, the caves exude a mysterious vibe. Visitors can explore the surrounding area with caution due to the steep and slippery terrain.
