1. International Arrival to Kathmandu

Begin your journey by flying into Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu, Nepal. From your arrival point, you can explore Kathmandu and prepare for your adventure to Imja Tse.

2. Kathmandu to Lukla Flight

The first leg of the journey is a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. The Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla is a small airport with flights heavily dependent on weather conditions, so it's crucial to have some flexibility in your travel schedule.

3. Trekking to Phakding and Namche Bazaar

After landing in Lukla, start your trek to Phakding, which will take about 3 to 4 hours. From Phakding, you continue to the famous Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar, a bustling market town that serves as an acclimatization stop for trekkers and climbers.

4. Trekking from Namche Bazaar to Dingboche

Proceed with the trek along the trail to Tengboche, a village known for its monastery, then continue to Dingboche, which typically takes a few days with proper acclimatization stops to ensure safety against altitude sickness.

5. Acclimatization and Proceeding to Chhukung

Spend time in Dingboche for acclimatization before heading to Chhukung. Another day's rest and acclimatization here will prepare you for the ascent to Imja Tse base camp.

6. Imja Tse Base Camp

From Chhukung, trek to Imja Tse Base Camp. This is where you'll prepare for the climb, which typically takes place early in the morning to leverage stable weather conditions.

7. Summit Day

Start very early in the morning for the final push to the summit of Imja Tse. The ascend involves glacier travel, steep snow, and ice, therefore it is recommended to go with an experienced guide and necessary climbing gear.

8. Descend back to Lukla

After reaching the summit and enjoying the panoramic views, carefully descend to base camp and reverse your trek through the villages back to Lukha, from where you will fly back to Kathmandu.
