Best Time To Visit Jeju (South Korea) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Jeju Island, South Korea

Visiting Jeju Island, one of South Korea's most picturesque destinations, is a treat for tourists year-round thanks to its mild weather and natural beauty. However, the best time to visit Jeju tends to be in the spring, between late March and May, when the island's signature flowers, such as the king cherry blossoms, bright yellow canola, and various other wildflowers, bloom in vibrant color. The spring ushers in a perfect blend of warm days and cool nights, ideal for outdoor activities like hiking Mt. Hallasan, exploring lava tubes, or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll along the beach. The spring flower festivals are a highlight for many visitors, offering enchanting views and the fragrance of blooming azaleas and camellias.

If you prefer quieter times and cooler weather, consider visiting in the fall, particularly from September to November. This season offers another great window for pleasant weather before the winter chill sets in. The fall foliage in Jeju is quite spectacular, with the ginkgo trees turning a brilliant yellow and maple leaves exhibiting a fiery palette of reds and oranges. During these months, visitors can enjoy outdoor activities without the summer crowds or summer's humidity and heat. Additionally, this is a great period for enjoying the island’s fresh seafood and participating in cultural festivals such as the Jeju Olle Walking Festival which celebrates Jeju's scenic walking paths.
