Best Time To Visit Jeypore Rainforest (Dibrugarh) In 2026 - 2027

Visit Jeypore Rainforest, Dibrugarh, Assam

The best time to visit the Jeypore Rainforest in Dibrugarh, Assam, India, is during the post-monsoon months, extending from late September to November. During this period, the rainforest emerges in its full glory, the vegetation is lush and vibrant, and the water levels in the rivers are optimal for exploring the natural surroundings. Moreover, as this is the period right after the heavy monsoon rains, the incidence of rain is much reduced, which makes for more pleasant and accessible travel conditions. Tourism during these months is also less dense relative to the peak winter season, providing a more serene experience of the rainforest's diverse flora and fauna.

For those interested in a slightly cooler climate and clear skies, the months of December to February can also be an excellent time to visit. The temperature during this part of the year is relatively mild and pleasant, ideal for trekking and wildlife spotting. However, it is important to note that winter mornings can be quite foggy, which may lead to initially reduced visibility. Wildlife enthusiasts should note that the probability of spotting animals may be heightened as they come out to bask in the sun. Regardless of the season chosen, visitors should be prepared for the humid conditions inherent to a rainforest ecosystem and pack accordingly with light, breathable clothing and appropriate rain gear.
