Karmajhiri Gate Tourism

Karmajhiri Gate is one of the lesser-known entrances to the Pench National Park in Madhya Pradesh, India. This gate provides access to a relatively tranquil zone of the park, inviting wildlife enthusiasts to explore the lush landscapes and diverse ecosystems that Pench is famous for. Once a hunting ground for the local rulers, the park was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1977 and later tagged as a national park. The tourist flow through the Karmajhiri Gate is less compared to the main Turia Gate, which allows visitors a more serene and intimate experience with nature. Karmajhiri is not only a starting point for thrilling wildlife safaris but also an opportunity to spot various species of animals like tigers, leopards, wild boars, and numerous species of birds. The surrounding forest is marked by teak trees and a network of streams and 'nullahs' that sustain the rich biodiversity of the region. Staying in the forest rest houses nearby gives visitors a chance to enjoy the sounds of the jungle at night and connect with the wild on a deeper level.
