Sky above, sand below, peace within and an ocean breeze puts a mind at ease......... Wandering further on to the Western coastal lines..... ....... Satpati, Palghar to Kelva Beach to Shirgaon Beach,Palghar. to Shirgaon Fort to Mahim Beach, Palghar.......Exploring Beaches,Forts,Food... very clean beach.... there are lot of eateries outside the beach..... may food exhibition also takes place here.... there are various rides like camel horse, small kart cars ...... its 10-15 kms away from phalghar.... the roads are also really good, there is not much crowed as compared to normal beaches...

A popular weekend getaway for tourists from Mumbai
Had been to this serene & calm beach in Kelva a long back ago. This beach is a popular weekend getaway from Mumbai. This beach is one of the secluded beaches near Mumbai. It is located about 80 kms away from Mumbai and about 6 kms away from Kelve Road railway station. To get to the beach, had taken an 8 seater rickshaw ride from the railway station. This beach is lined with casurina trees. The sand of this beach is black in colour. There are many local tourists visit this beach. However, there are two forts located close to the beach. One can stay in one of the guesthouses located close to the beach. Also, one can eat at the local eating joints. Had enjoyed the cool breeze and played cricket in this beach as a school going child. This beach is an ideal place for families, couples as well as friends. It is a must visit and should not be missed when in Kelva.

Clean and beautiful beach option for Mumbaikars
This beach is known as Kelva, Kelwa or Keluva, in the palghar area, appox 8 km away from Kelva Road station. Some sports activities are also available for kids. Beach is clean and having small shops for eateries etc.

Calm Serene and nearby beach
If you are a mumbaikar and need a place to relax for a day or two this is a perfect place. Not yet commercialized yet. You will experience what is peace here. Dont expect too much, just enough to relax. Find good place to stay nearby and just indulge in nature. Its reachable via superfast Mumbai-Ahmadabad highway, or via any train going towards Gujrat. If you are fan of sea food .. nothing like this place!!

Beautiful beach
I have been here in the late '90s and it just looks great those tall trees, however, when I visited again in mid of 2000, I see they have destroyed the sea sand and leaving all black sand behind, and garbage all around, but on the recent visit I see now they have restored the sea sand to some extent and also made an entrance where one needs to pay and enter the beach, which is good if they are able to maintain and improve it to make it more beautiful.
