Sudhagad Fort, also known as Bhorapgad, is a historical hill fortress situated in the Sudhagad Wildlife Sanctuary in Maharashtra, India. The fort lies about 10 kilometers east of Pali in Raigad District and is considered among the ancient forts in the Sahyadri range. Sudhagad Fort also forms part of the Bhudargad Wildlife Sanctuary. With an elevation of about 600 meters above sea level, it offers scenic views, dense forest cover, and a serene atmosphere. The fort retains several ancient structures such as the large entrance gates, temples, and granaries. It is also known for its similarity with the famous Raigad Fort, which was the capital of Maratha King Shivaji's kingdom. Historical significance lies in the fact that it was initially under the control of the Bahmani Sultanate and later came under the Maratha Empire. Hiking up to the fort is a popular activity among trekkers and history enthusiasts, as it provides a mix of adventure, cultural heritage, and natural beauty.
