Kempty Falls is a renowned waterfall located about 15 km from Mussoorie in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Surrounded by majestic mountain ranges, it stands at an altitude of approximately 1,364 meters above sea level, making it one of the most prominent tourist attractions in the region. The falls were developed as a tourist destination by a British officer for hosting tea parties, and hence, the name is thought to have been derived from 'Camp-Tea'. Kempty Falls is known for its spectacular cascades where the water drops from a height of about 40 feet, providing a stunning view and a refreshing experience for visitors. The falls have segmented streams that make their way down the rocky cliffs, creating natural pools where people can enjoy a swim or splash around. The area is surrounded by lush green vegetation, and the melodious sound of the waterfall creates a serene environment perfect for picnics and relaxation. Shops and stalls near the falls also offer souvenirs and refreshments.
