Best Time To Visit Lakhena Temple (Polo Forest) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Lakshena Temple, Polo Forest, Gujarat

The best time to visit the ancient Lakshena Temple nestled within the tranquil confines of Polo Forest in Gujarat is during the post-monsoon season, between October and March. During these months, the weather in Gujarat is relatively cool and pleasant, which is ideal for exploring the ruins of this 15th-century shrine without being hampered by the sweltering heat that characterizes the summer season. The lush greenery of Polo Forest, revived by the monsoon rains, provides a vibrant backdrop to the architectural beauty of the temple, making your visit all the more enchanting.

Moreover, the cooler temperatures allow for comfortable trekking experiences through the forest trails, leading to the temple. Winter mornings at Polo Forest are notably delightful, often enveloped in a light mist that lifts as the day progresses, revealing the temple in all its glory. Visiting during the cooler months also reduces the likelihood of encountering monsoon-related issues such as heavy rainfalls or flooded pathways that could impede access to the temple site. Additionally, the region hosts local festivals and fairs during the winter months, which can offer an enriching cultural experience to your visit.
