To get to Lombok by air, visitors will land at Lombok International Airport (Bandara Internasional Lombok) which is located near Praya in Central Lombok and approximately 40 km south of Mataram, the capital city. The airport is well-connected with flights from major cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bali, and also has international flights from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Perth. From the airport, travelers can take a taxi, airport shuttle, or arrange for a hotel pick-up to get to their final destination in Mataram.

By Sea

Another option to reach Lombok is by sea. There are ferry services available from Bali which depart from Padangbai Harbor to Lembar Harbor in Lombok. The ferry ride takes about 4-5 hours. For a faster crossing, fast boat services operate from several points in Bali such as Serangan, Sanur, and Amed, arriving at various points in Lombok, including Senggigi and the Gili Islands.

For a scenic route, travelers can take an overland journey from Bali, followed by a short sea crossing.
