A Historical Perspective on Munger Tourism

Before delving into the specifics of Manpathar, let's shed light on the broader context of tourism in Munger. Munger is a city with a rich historical tapestry that dates back to the mythological era of the Mahabharata and the rule of the Maurya and Gupta Empires. It came to prominence again during the British colonial period when it served as an important administrative and military hub.

As such, the region's historical significance and the presence of heritage sites like the Munger Fort and the Bihar School of Yoga have traditionally attracted tourists to the area. Over the years, pilgrims have also gravitated towards the nearby Ajgaivinath temple in Sultanganj, which is deeply revered in Hindu mythology.
