Best Time to Visit Massacre Ghat (Satti Chaura Ghat), Kanpur

Massacre Ghat (Satti Chaura Ghat), situated on the banks of the Ganges in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, is a place of historical significance. The best time to visit this poignant and historic location is generally in the cooler months from October to March. During this period, the harshness of the North Indian summer has abated, and visitors can expect pleasant weather conducive to outdoor activities and sightseeing. The temperatures range from a comfortable 15°C to a mild 30°C, making it ideal for exploring the Ghat and learning about its historical context without the discomfort of extreme temperatures.

The Ghat is also accessible during other times of the year, but visitors should be aware that the summer months (April to June) can be excessively hot, with temperatures soaring beyond 40°C, which may not be suitable for everyone. The monsoon season (July to September) brings heavy rains which can occasionally lead to flooding, making it challenging to navigate the area. Considering these factors, timing your visit for the suggested cooler months ensures a more comfortable and enriching experience in this city steeped in history. Whenever you choose to visit, it is advised to check the local weather and plan accordingly to make the most out of your trip to Massacre Ghat.
