From Agatti, travelers must take a helicopter or boat to get to Minicoy. Helicopter transfers are subject to weather conditions and boat journeys can take several hours.
By Train:: Lakshadweep does not have a railway network. The nearest railway station is in Kerala at Kochi, from where travellers can take a flight to Agatti and then onward transfer to Minicoy.
By Road:: Minicoy Island is not accessible directly by road. Visitors can drive to Kochi and take a flight to Agatti. However, for local transport within Minicoy, cycles and walking are the primary modes.
