Best Time To Visit Nagarkot (Nepal) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Nagarkot, Nepal

Nagarkot, a serene hill station situated approximately 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu, is famed for its breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountain range, including Mount Everest on clear days. The most favorable time to visit Nagarkot is during the autumn months, from October to November. During this period, the monsoon rains have subsided, and the skies are usually clear, offering the most spectacular panoramic views of the mountains. The temperature is comfortably cool, perfect for hiking and outdoor activities. Autumn also coincides with some of the biggest Nepalese festivals like Dashain and Tihar, providing visitors with the unique opportunity to experience the rich cultural festivities.

Another excellent time to plan a trip to Nagarkot is during the spring season, from March to April. The weather during these months is mild, and the countryside is lush and vibrant, with blooming rhododendrons and other wildflowers adorning the landscape. The visibility of the mountains is still good, although it may not be as crisp as in autumn. The spring also sees fewer tourists compared to the autumn peak season, which can provide a more tranquil travel experience. Regardless of the season, it's advised to check the weather forecast before visiting, as the mountainous weather can be unpredictable and affect the mountain vistas.
