Padam Talao is one of the largest lakes located within Ranthambore National Park in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, India. Nestled amidst vast wildlife, the picturesque Padam Talao lake is named after the beautiful lotuses that bloom in the water during the seasons. It is surrounded by thick greenery and serves as a vital source of water for the park's flora and fauna. This lake is especially famous for being a prime spot for wildlife sighting including tigers, which often come here to quench their thirst. Adjacent to the lake stands the Jogi Mahal, an old forest rest house enjoying a grand view of the lake. The ancient banyan tree, one of India's largest, near Padam Talao, adds to the scenic beauty and is a haven for many bird species. Wildlife enthusiasts and photographers are often rewarded with sights of animals like sambar, cheetals and myriad birds during the day, making it an important ecological area within the park.
