Malik Talao is one of the smaller yet vibrant lakes located in the Ranthambore National Park near Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, India. Encircled by wilderness, this talao (lake) is a magnet for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers, thanks to its strategic location where a variety of fauna, particularly the majestic Bengal tigers, can be spotted. It serves as an important water source for animals, especially during the drier months. The lake is surrounded by dense foliage and rugged terrain, characteristic of the park, which adds to the natural beauty and offers a perfect backdrop for sighting animals in their natural habitat. The ancient Ranthambore Fort, perched high above the park, provides a historic and cultural context to the region. Good for wildlife sighting
Lake has a good amount of water even in summers. It is home to many birds and crocs. Deer, antelope, wild boars and even tigers are often spotted near this lake. It falls in zone 3 and 4 of ranthambor..
