Petra Archaeological Park is located in the southwestern desert of Jordan, roughly 240 km south of the capital Amman and 120 km north of the port city of Aqaba.

Arriving in Jordan:

1. By Air: The closest international airport is Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) in Amman. From there, you can either rent a car or take a bus to Petra.
2. By Sea: Visitors coming from neighbouring countries can travel to the port city of Aqaba via the Red Sea and then commute to Petra.

Getting to Petra from Amman:

1. By JETT Bus: The JETT bus company offers daily trips from Amman to Petra. It's advisable to book your ticket in advance.
2. By Car: Renting a car gives you the flexibility to travel to Petra at your own pace. The journey takes approximately 3 hours via the Desert Highway or roughly 4 hours via the scenic Kings’ Highway.

Getting to Petra from Aqaba:

1. By JETT Bus: JETT also provides bus services from Aqaba to Petra, but they are less frequent than from Amman.
