Puttaparthi, a small town located in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, India, is famous as the birthplace of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, a spiritual leader with a worldwide following. This town is home to Prasanthi Nilayam, the ashram established by Sri Sathya Sai Baba in 1950, which draws devotees from around the world. Prasanthi Nilayam, which means 'Abode of Highest Peace', is not just an ashram but a fully functioning township with educational institutions, hospitals, and various other facilities.
