The site houses an ancient tank (sarovar) and a temple, which is believed to have been the hermitage of sage Maharishi Valmiki, the author of the epic Ramayana. The main temple complex has been recently renovated, and a huge statue of Maharishi Valmiki has been erected. An imposing temple along a laje
Constructed under the chief minister Mr Badal 's time it is over a huge area and a huge sarovar. The Sri Valmiki Temple is imposing, but others are neglected. It is a waste of huge resources.

Must be visited huge temple complex
Sanctum sanatorium of Valmiki is very well built. The temple is very clean and well maintained. This is where Lava and Khush, sons of Lord Rama were born. Walk all round the main temple.
