The best time to visit Sanjichhat aligns with the ideal climate conditions in Kashmir, which is generally during the months of March to October. The spring months of March to April bring a vibrant bloom of flowers, the valley awakens with a fresh green blanket, and the weather is pleasantly cool, making it a perfect time for trekkers and spiritual travelers to enjoy their journey with comfort. As summer unfolds, from May to June, the temperatures remain moderate and conducive for long hours of trekking, and the clear skies offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
The monsoon period, late June to August, can be a bit challenging due to the risk of landslides and slippery paths, hence it is generally less recommended. However, as the season transitions into autumn, September and October present another great window to visit Sanjichhat. The drop in precipitation and the mild weather conditions during these months provide an excellent opportunity for visitors to partake in the Yatra (holy journey) with lesser crowds and more tranquility. It is important to note that the winter months, November to February, see sub-zero temperatures and heavy snowfall, making the pilgrimage to Sanjichhat quite difficult and less accessible to tourists and pilgrims.
