Best Time to Visit Silver Cascade Falls, Kodaikanal

When talking about visiting the Silver Cascade Falls in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, the ideal time to soak in the natural splendor is during the post-monsoon months. The months from October to March are considered to be the most favorable. During this period, the South-West monsoon has just receded, leaving behind a landscape that is lush and vibrant with ample water in the waterfall. The weather is comfortably cool and pleasant, making it the perfect time for tourists to enjoy the full glory of the falls without the disruptions of heavy rainfall. Daytime temperatures average around 15°C to 30°C, while night temperatures can drop a little lower, ensuring that the climate is neither too hot for comfort nor too cold.

On the other hand, the summer months of April to June can also be a good time for those seeking to escape the oppressive heat of the plains. While the flow of the fall might be less compared to the monsoon season, the weather in Kodaikanal remains relatively mild, with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 34°C. The area is less crowded, thus providing a more peaceful experience. However, it’s worth noting that the falls may not be at their most spectacular during these months owing to the reduced volume of water. Therefore, while the summer offers a respite from heat and a more tranquil visit, the post-monsoon season proudly presents the falls in their full majesty, surrounded by a rejuvenated, green landscape.
