Best Time To Visit Surathkal Beach (Mangalore (Mangaluru)) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit Surathkal Beach, Mangalore

The best time to visit Surathkal Beach in Mangalore, Karnataka, is during the winter months, which stretch from October to February. During this season, the climate is pleasantly cool and comfortable for beach activities. The temperature typically ranges from 17°C to 34°C, providing an ideal environment for tourists to explore the beach without the discomfort of the intense heat that characterizes the summer months. Winter is also the perfect season for sightseeing, engaging in water sports, and relishing the serene beauty of the Arabian Sea. Visitors can enjoy long walks on the sandy shores, build sandcastles, or just relax and watch the mesmerizing sunset.

Alternatively, the months of September and March can also be good times to visit, as they mark the transition between the monsoons and the peak seasons respectively. During these months, you can witness the lush greenery surrounding the beach, which flourishes after the rains. However, it’s important to note that the monsoon season, from June to August, is typically avoided by tourists due to the heavy rains and strong winds which can lead to high tides and make beach activities unsafe. Lastly, it is recommended to avoid the summer months from March to May, when the temperatures soar and humidity levels are high, making outdoor activities less enjoyable.
