Sweet Falls, also known as 'Kshaid Weitden,' is a spectacular waterfall located near Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, India. Situated at a distance of about 5 kilometers from the Happy Valley and approximately 15 kilometers from Shillong, it is one of the most enthralling waterfalls in the region. The falls are about 96 meters high, making it one of the steepest waterfalls in the area. This secluded and steep fall is often referred to as the 'most beautiful' yet 'most dangerous' waterfall in Shillong. The water cascades down into a deep gorge, creating a mesmerizing sight. Due to its steepness and the slippery rocks around it, visitors are advised to enjoy the falls from a distance without attempting to go too close to the edge. There are no barricades, and the area around the falls can be quite slippery, especially during the monsoon season. Sweet Falls is surrounded by magnificent natural beauty, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. However, due to the danger it poses, it is not recommended for swimming or other activities.
