Table Land Tourism

Table Land is a flat mountain plateau and the second highest volcanic plateau in Asia located in the beautiful hill town of Panchgani in Maharashtra, India. Spread over an area of approximately 95 acres, Table Land stands at an altitude of 4,500 feet above sea level and offers a panoramic view of Panchgani and the neighboring valleys. It is a popular tourist destination credited for offering some of the most enchanting sunrises and sunsets. The plateau is a vast expanse of laterite rock and is a great spot for horse riding, paragliding, and other outdoor activities. During the monsoon season, the area is covered with a thin water layer that creates a natural mirror effect. There are also a few mini-trains available for touring the plateau. Visitors can explore the Devil's Kitchen caves located at the southern end of the plateau, which is said to be the place where the Pandavas from the epic Mahabharata stayed during their exile.
