Best Time To Visit The Regent's Park And London Zoo (London) In 2026 - 2027

Best Time to Visit The Regent's Park

The most ideal time to visit The Regent's Park in London is during the late spring and summer months, typically from May to September. During this period, the park is in full bloom with a variety of flowers and lush greenery, creating an idyllic setting for picnics, walks, and sports. The weather is generally warm and pleasant, perfect for enjoying the open-air theatre performances that take place in the park. It's also a great time to witness the rose garden in its full splendor, particularly in June when the roses are at their peak. While weekends and sunny days can be quite busy, early mornings or weekdays provide a quieter experience.

Visiting the London Zoo

Located within The Regent's Park, the London Zoo is a popular destination throughout the year. However, the best time to visit the zoo is during the spring and summer months, from April to October, when most animals are active, and the weather is conducive to spending long hours outdoors. Additionally, many of the zoo's special events and talks are scheduled in the warmer months, enhancing the visitor experience. It's advisable to check the zoo's schedule in advance for feeding times and talks to maximize your visit. Early morning right after opening or late afternoon before closing can be the best times to avoid larger crowds, and booking tickets online in advance can save time and sometimes provide a discount.
