Tikona Fort, also known as Vitandgad fort, is a dominant hill fortress located near Kamshet around 60 km from Pune, Maharashtra, India. Evident from its pyramidal shape, the name 'Tikona' translates to 'triangle'. The fort is a popular trekking destination known for its large doorways, the temple of 'Trimbakeshwar Mahadev', a water tank, and some Satvahan caves. Perched on a hilltop at an elevation of about 3500 feet above sea level, it offers panoramic views of the surrounding Pavana Valley and the backwaters of Pavana Dam. Historically, the fort has been under the rule of various dynasties and was used as a strategic defense location. The trek to the summit is relatively easy, taking adventurers through scenic landscapes and rugged terrains, making it a perfect getaway for nature enthusiasts and history buffs alike. The fort's fortification and the ruins of various structures are still evident and provide a glimpse into the architectural techniques of old.

The triangular fort
Not much difficult to trek but better if you visit after monsoon because of greenery. Tung, Visapur, Lohagad forts are visible from top. Panoramic view of Pawna lake is perfect for photography
