Achanakmar Wildlife Sanctuary Tourism

Achanakmar Wildlife Sanctuary, located near Amarkantak in Madhya Pradesh, India, is a pristine natural habitat spread across 551.55 square kilometers. Established in 1975 under the Wildlife Protection Act, this sanctuary is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. It forms a critical part of the Achanakmar-Amarkantak Biosphere Reserve, recognized by UNESCO in 2012. Visitors can immerse themselves in the lush greenery, witness towering Sal trees and a variety of medicinal plants and herbs. This rich biodiversity hotspot provides sanctuary to several endangered species like the Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, bison, and various species of deer.
