Anakkara is a picturesque spot nestled in the Thekkady region of Kerala, known for its aromatic spice gardens and lush green landscapes. The best time to visit Anakkara is from September to March. During this period, the weather is pleasant, with minimal rainfall, making it an ideal time for tourists to explore the outdoors and indulge in various activities such as trekking, plantation visits, and wildlife safaris in the nearby Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The temperatures range from a comfortable 15°C to 30°C, which is perfect for sightseeing and enjoying the scenic beauty of Anakkara without the discomfort of extreme weather conditions.

The months of October and November witness the monsoon retreating, adding a fresh verdure to the landscape, which can be particularly enchanting. For those interested in cultural experiences, visiting during the festival seasons, such as Onam in August/September and Christmas in December, can be very rewarding as they can witness the local celebrations and customs. However, it is essential to book accommodations in advance during these peak seasons to avoid any inconvenience. On the other hand, summers, from April to June, can be quite hot with temperatures rising up to 35°C, which may not be comfortable for everyone, and the monsoon season from June to August sees heavy rains that could restrict outdoor activities and travel.
