  Calmness at its best

  Not many people around as it is located more than an hour drive from Jabalpur. It's vast, calm and serene at the same time. Boating options are available in the dam too. Take a walk on the dam and surroundings, and experience freshness in the air. A nice place.

  WORTH VISIT

  Bargi dam is worth a visit . An hour's distance from Bhedaghat, the Dam is of prominence in the generation of electricity and for irrigation. There are all kinds of boating facilities - from cruises to speed boats . The speed boat was for around Rs 600 for ten minutes and we took an extended trip by paying more. The food at the MPT restaurant was good . In fact I was told that the MPT runs the boating facility too.

  Review on Nov 19, 2020 Read many old reviews about Bargi dam. Guys, there are lots of development. Just go through the latest review of our trip - 1. Maikal Resort of MPTDC: Qwsome location, good cafeteria, and very good serving staff. The five rooms are Facung the water body, and others are also facing lesser water body. This is the only and best place to stay. 2. CRUISE: Prefer cruising in evening hours at 4.30 pm. You will enjoy awesome sunset and will be accompanied by swans throughout the journey. You can also enjoy speed boats here. 3. APPROACH ROAD: This patch of 12 kms is newly built in March 2020. It’s smooth ride now and no more irritating. 4. NANDIKESHWAR TEMPLE: Also 6 kms before reaching Dam, There is NANDIKESHWAR temple. Temple is nice, clean. You can get birds eye view of water body. 5. Things to enjoy : a. Morning and evening walk on dam (3-5 kms one way), b. Dam side meals at cafeteria

  Must see scenic beauty enroute jabalpur to kanha

  Bargi dam on the mighty river narmada with its huge reservoir provides for a breathtaking views of clear blue water meeting the horizons in distant. We had a stopover at mp tourism resort on the reservoir while going to jabalpur airport from kanha national park and we enjoyed thoroughly. Mp tourism runs water steamer, speed boats and water scooter and has a restraunt overlooking the nature. The steamer moves at a pace which lets you soak in the beauty of water against the hills meeting the sky. Such places are truly making indian tourism incredible The steamer ride is approx 45mins long and upper deck charges are rs 160 n lower ac deck is priced at 200. There are rooms as well for those wanting to stay overnight. I recommend visiting it enroute to kanha or pench or nagpur from/to jabalpur

  Nice place

  Its a nice place for visiting and looks more beautiful when gates are opened during rainy season. There is a resort nearby where you get good food. Cruise and speed boats ride are also available on the dam which is worth doing. Overall i recommend the place.
