The Brahma Temple in Pushkar is one of the few existing temples dedicated to the Hindu deity Brahma in India and is located in the town of Pushkar in Rajasthan. Pushkar itself is one of the oldest cities in India and is known for its sacred Pushkar Lake as well as the annual Pushkar Camel Fair. The temple, constructed out of marble and stone slabs, dates back to the 14th century, though the origins of the temple are believed to be 2000 years old. It sits on a high plinth and features a distinct red pinnacle (Shikhara) and a hamsa bird motif. The temple's sanctum sanctorum holds the central image of Lord Brahma, flanked by his consorts Savitri and Gayatri. The walls are adorned with beautiful floor-to-ceiling murals and the presence of the marble steps leading to the temple add a serene charm. The atmosphere inside is one of reverence and calm, inviting pilgrims to partake in rituals and offer prayers.
