Pushkar Camel Fair Ground is located in the small town of Pushkar in Rajasthan, India. This sand-dune town becomes a vibrant spectacle when it hosts the annual Pushkar Camel Fair, also known as Pushkar Mela. The fairground becomes a carnival full of life with thousands of camels, horses, and cattle brought here to trade. It transforms into a cultural hub with a plethora of activities, including camel races, cultural performances, and exhibitions. The fair is not just an animal trade market but also a religious festival. Pilgrims flock to the holy Pushkar Lake, surrounded by 52 bathing ghats, to take a sacred dip during the fair, which coincides with the bright half of the moon in the Hindu lunar month of Kartika. Alongside the livestock dealings and religious rituals, the fair also boasts a variety of amusement activities, like Ferris wheels, magic shows, and local souvenir shops, offering a unique blend of commerce, culture, and spirituality.
