Chapora Fort, perched on a prominent position above the Chapora River, offers panoramic views of the coastline from Vagator Beach to the Morjim coast in North Goa, India. Constructed in 1717, it replaced an earlier fortification by Adil Shah of Bijapur. The fort has a rich history, having witnessed numerous battles and changes in colonial powers from the Portuguese to the Marathas. Although the fort is now mostly in ruins, visitors can explore the remaining structures, including ramparts and gateways, and envisage its past strategic importance. The iconic fort gained popularity due to the Bollywood movie 'Dil Chahta Hai,' which made it a must-visit spot for film enthusiasts and travelers alike. The fort's elevation provides an excellent location for photography, and the trek to the fort is favored by adventure seekers. The climb is relatively easy, and the reward is the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea and the surrounding lush landscape.

Not much remains of fort but view is awesome
An ASI monument, Chapora fort is a popular tourist destination due to scenic ocean view of around 210 degree along with small island. Vagator beach is clearly visible from this Fort.
