Interesting
The church is bright white and has an interesting architecture. Unfortunately when I went the church was closed so could not see the interiors which was sad. It’s very close to Fontainhas and has an interesting history behind it.

Worth visiting
First - no matter when you go there, church is closed for general public. Members who attend mass take the route from the adjacent building. so it doesnt matter its lunch, dinner or breakfast time. not sure why people just write what they think right and misguide other travellers. This has happened post pandemic Secondly - There is no "official" parking nearby. if you get one then you are lucky OR hire a taxi whose driver will wait for you in nearby street. traffic can be an issue in nearby streets. The bell here is the second largest in Goa.

The most famous and visited church
In Panjim, the most famous and visited church is the "Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception". This is a beautiful white church, which is located in the central square of the city. It is important to note that it is closed during lunch, so if you want to get inside, make your plans so as not to get in at this time. The church was built in 1541 specifically for European sailors, who, upon arrival in Goa, first had to check in at the customs post in Panaji. At first there was a small church on this site, but thanks to the inspiration of the sailors, it turned into the beautiful church that it looks like now.

Only a photo op landmark
The Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church is located in Panjim, Goa, India. The Church conducts Mass every day in English, Konkani, and Portuguese. The colonial Portuguese Baroque style church was first built in 1541 as a chapel on a hill side overlooking the city of Panjim. It was eventually replaced by a larger church in the 1600s as part of Portuguese Goa's religious expansion. This church houses the ancient bell that was removed from the Augustinian ruins of the Church of Our Lady of Grace in the once famed city of Old Goa. This bell is considered to be the second largest of its kind in Goa, surpassed only by the Golden Bell which resides in the Sé Cathedral in Old Goa. Cars can be parked nearby in market areas which charge Rs. 50 for parking. Visited in October 2022, just clicked some snaps from outside and left.
