Aguada Lighthouse Tourism

Aguada Lighthouse is situated in North Goa, atop the Sinquerim Plateau, and is part of the well-known Fort Aguada Complex, which overlooks the Arabian Sea. This historical lighthouse was constructed in 1864 to guide ships entering the Mandovi River from the Arabian Sea. It stands as a testament to Portuguese colonial architecture and engineering, commingled with the rich maritime history of Goa. The fort's walls embrace the lighthouse, and visitors are often struck by the panoramic views which include a view of the confluence of the Mandovi River and the Arabian Sea, a part of Aguada Bay, and a distant view of the Aguada Jail.
