Accessing Chendebji Chorten

By Air: The primary international gateway to Bhutan is through Paro Airport. From Paro, you will have to arrange ground transportation or internal flights to Trongsa. The nearest airport to Trongsa is Bumthang Airport, from where you can hire a taxi or use local transportation to reach Chendebji Chorten.

By Road: Chendebji Chorten is located approximately 41 kilometers from the town of Trongsa, on the route towards Bumthang. Visitors generally travel to Trongsa through well-planned tours as independent traveling can be challenging. From Trongsa, you can hire a taxi or travel by bus to reach Chendebji Chorten.

Travel Requirements

Visitors are required to obtain a visa before arriving in Bhutan. All tourists, except citizens of India, Bangladesh, and the Maldives, must arrange their trip through a licenced Bhutanese tour operator. Moreover, there is a daily tariff that covers accommodation, transportation, food, and guides.
